The new DDR4 memory interface in an UltraScale device can provide more than 1 tb / s of storage bandwidth, the system can meet the requirements of high-speed processing of massive data stream and massive memory for the new generation of advanced system design in important application fields such as video imaging and processing, traffic management and high-performance computing. Upgrading from DDR3 to DDR4 reduces the application's read latency by 30% and significantly reduces power consumption at the same data rate. More attractively, upgrading from 1,866 MB of DDR3 per second to 2,400 Mb of DDR4 per second not only increases data speed by 30% , but also reduces power consumption by 20% . These DDR4 memory interfaces are tested for difficult data patterns under strict system conditions (such as varying voltage and temperature, system jitter) to ensure a margin of work for actual system deployment. XILINX'S SELECTIO? The interface conforms to the JESD79-4 DDR4 SDRAM standard and helps ensure maximum timing margin.
